Challenge
In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, understanding the impact of technology investments is crucial for business success. This global enterprise faced this challenge head-on as they scaled their digital workplace tools. Despite significant investments in Google Workspace and Slack, they struggled with limited native reporting capabilities that left them unable to measure true adoption and impact.
The situation became more pressing after deploying Glean, an AI-powered search tool, to 75% of their workforce in 2024. Without proper analytics, they couldn’t validate this substantial investment or optimize its implementation. The work productivity and AI project teams approached Temporall seeking a solution that would provide comprehensive visibility across their entire technology stack.
Progress
Temporall developed a strategic three-phase approach to address these challenges. The first phase focused on establishing a clear baseline through a comprehensive Workspace Adoption Report, analyzing three months of historical data from 6,000 users. This provided the foundation for understanding existing work patterns and tool usage.
In the second phase, Temporall created a custom Glean integration to specifically measure the impact of their AI implementation. This was followed by a third phase focusing on Slack adoption reporting, completing the picture of their collaboration landscape.
Throughout the project, Temporall configured specialized filter groups to ensure data segmentation met specific insight needs, enabling detailed analysis at both macro and micro levels across the organization.
Result
The multi-phase analysis transformed the organization’s understanding of their workplace technology ecosystem. The Workspace insights report delivered granular benchmarks of existing work activity, while custom data segmentation at the group level revealed precise active and inactive usage metrics across different teams.
Perhaps most importantly, the analysis uncovered detailed workstyle insights, showing exactly how and when teams were working in their hybrid environment, including meeting patterns and collaboration preferences. The custom Glean integration provided concrete data on AI’s impact on productivity, while the Slack analytics completed the picture of their collaboration landscape.
These insights have enabled the organization to optimize their technology investments, improve adoption rates, and make data-driven decisions about future workplace technology strategies.
