This large enterprise organization recognized the transformative potential of AI for their workforce but needed a structured approach to evaluating levels of adoption and the impact of Gemini for Workspace on work productivity.

Following Google Workspace’s recommendation, the organization partnered with Temporall to gain detailed analytics on their Gemini pilot. The engagement included:
Comprehensive Data Analysis & Insights
Temporall first synced three months of existing Workspace data (Gmail, Calendar, Drive & Editors, Meet) to create a benchmark of existing work activity in Workspace for several thousands employees. Subsequently, over a period of three months, usage, adoption and impact metrics and patterns of 200 Gemini pilot users were closely measured.
Custom filters were applied to create groups that the organisation needed to allow them to undertake data segmentation to meet their needs.
Quantitative usage data was correlated with qualitative user feedback (from surveys) made visible that different groups of users within the organisation were benefiting from Gemini at different levels.
Results
Analysis revealed significant work productivity gains and clear financial benefits. Gemini users in certain business units achieved more than 40% time savings in active and quantifiable Workspace activities, saving an average of >30 minutes per week. The projected annual time savings of 110,000 hours across the organization for even a subset of users, whilst demonstrating a financial return of circa. $1.8M for a single Business Unit. Productivity improvements were validated through both quantitative and qualitative data at a granular level.
Through this rigorous analysis, the organization transformed their pilot program from a technical experiment using survey data to validate the impact of Gemini to gaining a clear understanding of Gemini usage, adoption and the impact of workplace AI across different teams.
